As a supplement, protective and cutting tubes with their associated obturator are available in diameters of 12, 15 and 20 mm. Owing to the obturator and the special closure mechanism, the cutting tube only comes into contact with tissue when the cut is to be made: Using the obturator, you can guide the morcellator system through an opening in the abdominal wall. Once the cutting tube is correctly positioned, remove the obturator and open the closure mechanism. Now you can morcellate ergonomically with tactile feedback.
