In November 2016, SRA Developments Ltd was acquired by BOWA-electronic GmbH & Co. KG and we are now proud to be part of the BOWA MEDICAL group of companies. As the UK subsidiary of BOWA, we have exclusive UK distribution rights for the BOWA MEDICAL product portfolio.
All this has resulted in significant growth and expansion and we now support high value jobs in production engineering, skilled manufacturing, sales, marketing and management. Here in the UK, we have a dedicated direct sales force supported by a team of clinical and product specialists.
As part of the BOWA family SRA Developments Ltd, trading as BOWA MEDICAL UK, continues to innovate and broaden its medical product portfolio. We also manufacture products under OEM agreements with other medical device manufacturers.
We are a leading innovator of ultrasonic products for medical applications with an extensive design, development and manufacturing operation.
The company started in the late 1970s on the edge of Dartmoor as an ultrasonic technology consultancy, delivering innovative industrial solutions to a wide range of premier industrial companies. Over three decades later, the success of products for medical applications has taken us into markets all over the World.
We were awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise and Innovation in 2010 for the LOTUS torsional ultrasonic scalpel technology. This is the highest official award given to British businesses who excel in international trade, innovation or sustainable development.
